I am a ski fanatic; I have tried to down play this aspect of my life on MAtch but it has been increasing obvious that someone who doesn't love skiing is not going to fit in with my lifestye. That said; I would like my companion to share my love of the outdoors which still fascinates and thrills me. I would like to meet someone who has and still does the camping, hiking, skiing, traveling etc. Yet, I am not interested in someone who I cannot take home to my mother (table manners are important here!!) or who is uncomfortable in social situations. I respond best to someone I can have an intelligent conversation with; who can equally listen and have input. I have a quick and sometimes sarcastic and self deprecating sense of humor and enjoy the same in others. I seek someone who is financially stable and has personal as well as career goals. My daughters have graduated college now, but their opinion is important to me, after all, they know me the best of anyone. I love hanging out with them, we still plan backpacking trips and watch the dog trials at the state fairs etc.
What I have to offer is an unending source of energy. I am not hyper, so to speak, but I am always on the go. I am spontaneous, fun to be with and I do, versus talk about doing it. I am emotional and emotionally available and know what that entails. I am independent and definitely not a high maintenance type. You can put me in any situation and I will thrive and not embarrass you.
My smooth coated collies Kelsey(4) and Morgan (9 mo.), tag along wherever I go. Though brushed twice daily, it seems thye are always shedding and all my clothes have that ?look?; can?t get that damn hair off. In short, I am a dog hair magnet.

I have yet to meet one person that doesn't like travel, holding hands, sipping wine by a roaring fire, walking on the beach etc, etc.
Much better would be a soft caressing of the palm (while holding hands), a soft stroking of the nape of the neck (while watching the fire), whispered romantic fantasies (while walking on the beach). Passion and romance are so important to me. My heart soars when someone brings me little gifts like a bunch of wildflowers that he gathered by the side of the road and thought I would like, a sand dollar found on the beach but pocketed and given later with a note (...remember when we were walking on the beach...), silly text messages or VM's that will make me smile. It's not about the $$$ but the knowing that I am in his thoughts that day as he is in mine.
