Nursing is my profession of choice, and I have been doing it for 18 years now. Being raised mostly by my grandmother my values are that of a true southern belle, I believe very much in being a lady and acting like a lady. So it's only at the baseball and NFL games that I "loose my manners"! Going to the coast and just watching the waves is very surrendering to me, I enjoy this with a good wine.... over the cold beer with the games. Reading is a daily leisure activity, and writing is a hobby, either in a journal or on my current novel or childrens stories... I do enjoy spending time with the person I am with, friends, hobbies, sports, and my daily exercises.... Being versatile is important, outdoors is the daily must and indoors is the realxing by the screen watching a good movie after a wonderful meal.... I am a Katharine Hepburn fan and love the old AMC movies, not to say that some of the Hollywood new releases don't catch my eye...but the classics are the classics. Of course the older I get, some that seem like they were just made are now considered classics! Guess that's ok too. I like where I am and would not change it if I could.
In my life, there are two wonderful men. One is my eldest son and he is now married and happy, and I am happy for him. He has a beautiful wife and I, a terrific daughter in law. The other is my precious 16 y/o son whom still lives with me. He is in high school now and pressing hard for a career in the US Coast Guard. He is a well rounded young man, with great morals and ambition.
In my life now, I have come to realize no matter who you are or where you come from.... you are who you are... I want people to know me. Peaceful is how I describe myself now. The Belle in me is real, and most of all so am I. Here you will not find a woman that will cheat herself, as life is truly to short for such. I don't harbor any past regrets as they are just that, the past. I have used all of it as the stepping and building stones to a better life and a better me. It has been quite motivational.
In Summary I suppose? I am in such a great place in life! I am happy with me, peaceful in heart, I have family and friends, hobbies, a career, and many other things..... the one the I search for is someone to smile with and share my day with. Someone to wake with in the morning and recap the sunset from the night before, or harrass about the run we are suppose to be having that morning... or to just have coffee and read the newspaper without a word spoken, because nothing needs to be said....

Meeting at a nice bistro or restaurant for a dinner and conversation over wine, then a drink in the village followed by a stroll...and finally a coffee to end the evening. And if all goes well, plans for another night.

The first thing that comes to mind here is skydiving. Racing a car, yes I know that is not a Belle thing...but I do like cars and I like driving fast...(a true fault) Though I am not an nascar or Indy fan. I don't want to watch others. I would like to fly the world and try the many wines straight from the vineyards... Be at sea for months...visit port to port. Try to learn the many languages of our countries. Try to be a better person... Try new foods... Photographing wildlife at play or chasing the ultimate storm..

Fun is unlimited...no boundaries! My favorite place to be is the water. I would like to sky dive one day. I love roller coasters ~ there is a thrill seeker in me. Of course, just a good tickle can be fun too. A ballgame, a friends night out, dancing in a club...til 2am and then having an early breakfast, followed by sleeping in on a rainy day can be "fun" too. Fun is whatever you want it to be. A snow ball fight, hide and seek... or just sitting together and enjoying a smile.
