I am looking at the first date as the first time two of us are meeting; We'd meet a day during the weekend; ideally in the middle of the day. We'd meet for coffee/iced tea etc in a high traffic area and arrange to stay for a short period of time. This way, one or both has an out without having to embarrass the other.
