| Self Description | | I am a widow of almost six yrs. now, and I have decided that I would like to meet someone to share life with. I have been called "beautiful" in my younger years, but as we all know, everything changes with age. I'm 5'9" and have a rather athletic build. I still "think young" & like to do fun things. My interests are numerous and I'm always open to new ones. I like camping, especially at the beach;I like the outdoors, nature, animals, especially dogs, horses & wildlife. I like swimming, horseback riding, walks in the woods, or on the beach. I like music, from "oldies" & soft rock to classical. I like slow dancing. I like playing the organ & drawing, when I have time. I like being involved in a good church, although I am not right now. I like quiet evenings at home watching TV in front of a good fire. I like family cookouts, eating out, or cooking at home. I like flea markets, traveling occasionally, video or computer games, ACC Basketball(especially UNC basketball) & lots of other things. Originally from NC, I am now a retired teacher living out in the country in SC. I consider myself to be honest, independent, fairly intelligent & sincere. I would like to meet someone with similar qualities. Please note that my photo is 10 years old...just all I have right now...add a few wrinkles...LOL
The man I would like to meet would be trustworthy & at first, we would become good friends; after that, either the spark is there, or it isn't. At the worst, we have both made a new friend. | Goal In Life | | My goals have changed since I retired from teaching. I always wanted to teach and help youngsters in any way I could. Now, having an animal rescue facility out in the country, I now want to help as many animals as possible, but first and foremost, I want to continue to be close to my family...my sons and their families. I also would like to find a man to share my life with. I recently went to the beach for a week ...alone...well, with my doggie. A sunset at the beach is beautiful alone, but a memorable moment shared. |
