First thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I am an adventurous, spirited, loyal, selective, highly intelligent, and fun loving woman. I am Hawaiian, Chinese, and Puerto Rican decent. I was born and raised near a live volcano. My parents would take me to see the erupting volcano that lit up the night with vivid colors of reds and yellows. I grew up on the Big Island of Hawaii.I have travelled and lived in Pennsylvania, California, Hawaii, Massachusetts, and now Michigan. I have an uplifting personality, and love to make my friends laugh. I like to surround myself with positive, creative, and innovative thinkers who bring me joy and laughter.
I would like to share with you one of the events that changed my life. When I was 5 and 7 years old, I had a very traumatic and yet remarkable occurrences. I had two near death experiencesnes. I almost drowned twice. I was a child barely in kindergarten. So what I am about to say could have been a dream. I was drowning. Just before blacking out from the most excruciating, wrenching pain I ever felt in my life I saw what I could only describe as a vision I saw a dolphin on fire swimming towards me as it neared it shimmered into (okay your probably thinking sure lack of oxygen, seeing things..maybe my mind playing tricks ..but really) an angel? That event marked the beginning of my fear of overcoming obstacles, especially being near large. deep masses of water. I struggled with that fear for many years. At age 12, guess what? Yep..I conquered that obstacle, I swim like a fish! I love being in the ocean, lakes and rivers. When I am in tune with nature, I feel my spirit become replenished, I find that inner childlike wonder again, and I feel free again. My uncle used to call me sleeping seashell because I would crawl to the edge of the cliff and fall asleep to the sound of the singing crestfallen waves. I spend my time doing things that I enjoy. I like playing pool (still learning), jumping up and down in coed volleyball, playing euchre card games, hanging out with my friends, parasailing along the Kona coastline, listening to good live music with a fabulous singer, fishing and doing belly flops off the lakes, and stimulating conversations over coffee or wine. Whats precious to me is TIME. The longer I live, the more I realize how short it really is. My graduate friend and I were studying for an important exam. We were both tired, hungry and grouchy. It was so late. We got into a silly argument. After the exam, I recuperated and rested from lack of sleep and exhaustion. I kept putting off calling her to talk things out. She died that night. Now I will never be able to tell her how sorry I am. I will never be able to tell her how much I valued her wisdom and friendship. Lessons in life are so very painful, yet transforming. My family and friends are so precious to me. Time so priceless. I have lost all the Men in my life..my loving dad, my baby brother dying in my arms from AIDs, my tragic divorce. Losing those you cherish is one of the hardest changes I had to go through. These challenges and downfalls have transformed me and I think I am becoming a wiser, more intelligent, more evolving person. I live with passion, conscientious mindfulness, and a desire to make this earth a better place before I passed on by touching those I meet with humor and kindness. I have been on this dating site for several weeks in search for a kind, intelligent, educated, independent, generous man who is interested in someone exactly like me to brighten up his life and share this journey together. He has gone through difficult challenges and downfalls, yet he continues to strive through life by facing obstacles head on and is unafraid to explore new and different things. He is thoughtful, affectionate, adventurous, interested in a long term relationship. He likes to travel, cuddle, and knows how to kiss. His wealthy, but not pretentious, he has a special poignant elegance about him.
