We're talking on the phone for the first time and it's going great. I say, "I bet you'd love to know what lights me up."

Thankfully, you laugh and then say, "I would. Tell me."

"Let's see . . . What excites me is anything adventurous or spontaneous, pumpkin pecan ice cream, extra dark mint chocolate, really soft mattresses, comfy comforters, long-haired cats and purring kittens, smart comedies and honest dramas, the feeling of a fan blowing on me, watchings snow fall, taking long walks, snuggling, holding hands, people who can make me laugh so hard my cheeks hurt, sweater weather, jumping on leaves, chaise lounges and hopefully, you." My greatest accomplishment: raising three beautiful, loving daughters on my own. We have a ball together. Sometimes, when we're hanging out, laughing, joking, and discussing everything from mathematics to time travel, I wonder, "can it get any better than this?" and then I think about how amazing it will be to have my soul mate with me. My biggest claim to fame: dropping 30 feet of tygon tubing into the nuclear reactor at Three Mile Island during the clean-up. (Makes a fabulous first date story!) Favorite things to when I'm alone: reading, dancing, and playing the piano for hours on end. Most exciting adventures: swimming with the dolphins in Cancun, simulated skydiving in Colorado, and white water rafting in Alabama.
I have a healthy lifestyle and go to the gym 3 times a week. I'm self-motivated and love a challenge. I've competed in everything from dance competitions to half-marathons.
Other things you might want ot know about me: I have a hard time staying upright. Once I feel and bumped my head, walked sideways for weeks. (I save this story for second dates) Don't think I haven't considered wearing a hardhat! I have afear of falling and fear of being up high and out in the open. I can't ride ferris wheels but, for some reason, I have no problem with roller coasters. I have a huge aversion to bugs and once called an exterminator to get rid of a single centipede in my shower. My sense of direction is way off- I get lost so easily. Getting a Garmin changed my life! I even get to choose the navigator's accent. I think the British one is a kick. And finally, I would say that I enjoy being feminine and sensuous. I am a Reiki practitioner - (but I make my living as a psychotherapist) and love communicating through touch. I find that it can be both loving and healing.
